About DataSpace@HKUST
DataSpace@HKUST serves primarily as a data repository for HKUST researchers. Faculty members and research postgraduate students can use the platform to store, share, organize, preserve, and publish their research data.
Currently free-of-charge, there is no limit on the number of datasets per user. Each dataset has a default maximum 50 GB in size. If you have bigger datasets may contact the DataSpace Team to make a special arrangement.
Once published, each dataset will be:
- Openly accessible perpetually (preserved).
- Assigned a permanent identifier (DOI) to make the data findable and shareable.
- In a ready-made, shareable citation, to make it easier for your work to be recognized.
Terms of Use
Each data repositor may choose the license for how they wish to share their data, which will appear under “terms of use” in the metadata of each data set.
If you deposit in DataSpace@HKUST, you can still deposit in other data archives of your choice.
